L’immeuble construit dans les années 30, se situe sur les hauteurs, dans le quartier Nord de La Chaux-de-Fonds. Jennifer, Samuel et Eliott, leur fils de 2 ans, occupent l’appartement du rez-de-chaussée. Son emplacement calme, le jardin commun qui l’entoure, les hauts plafonds aux moulures d’origine et les parquets splendides leur ont plu immédiatement. Jennifer et Samuel sont tous les deux graphistes, leur agence « Supero » est située dans un quartier plus industriel de la ville. La porte d’entrée ouvre sur un long couloir, sur la gauche se trouve une enfilade de pièces qui communiquent toutes les unes avec les autres. Eliott s’amuse beaucoup en courant d’une pièce à l’autre. La premières est la chambre à coucher parentale, qui ouvre sur le salon qui lui-même communique avec la salle à manger. Un petit balcon ouvre sur le jardin. Dans ces deux dernières pièces, les murs sont recouverts d’anciennes boiseries typiques neuchâteloises. Avant d’emménager, et cela bien que charmés par les lieux, Jennifer et Samuel trouvaient néanmoins que les boiseries d’origine faisaient trop « chalet » et se sont entendus avec le propriétaire pour faire peindre celles du salon en gris. Par contre dans la salle à manger elles ont été conservée naturelles. La chambre d’Eliott, orientée nord, est magnifiquement décorée avec des meubles norvégiens Stokke, la lumière naturelle douce lui confère une grande sérénité. La cuisine est assez grande pour y accueillir une table pour 4 personnes. Au fond du couloir ils ont aménagé une petite zone de lecture. L’endroit est agréable et paisible.

The building built in the 30’s is located on the heights of La-Chaux-de-Fonds in the northern section of the city. Jennifer, Samuel and Eliott, their two year old son, live on the ground floor. They immediately loved its calm situation, the shared garden that surrounds the front of the house, the high ceilings with original mouldings and the beautiful hardwood floors. Both are graphic designers, their agency « Supero » is in a more industrial part of town. The front door opens on a long hallway, on the left all rooms adjoin one another in a railroad flat style. Eliott has much fun running from one space to the other. The first one is Jennifer and Samuel’s bedroom which opens on the salon, itself leading to the dining room. A small balcony faces the yard. In those two last rooms, walls are partially covered by typical, original, Neuchâtel wood trims. Before moving in, even though they were charmed by the place, Jennifer and Samuel found the wood trims somewhat too « chalet »  looking and asked the owner to paint the living room’s trims a creamy grey. On the other hand, in the dining room, their original natural color has been preserved. Eliott’s room, on the north side of the flat, is beautifully decorated with norwegian furniture from Stokke, the natural, soft light contributes to the overall feeling of serenity. The kitchen is large enough to accommodate a square table for four. At the end of the hall, a small reading corner has been set up. The place is pleasant and peaceful.
