C’est une grange de 1899, rénovée et habilement transformée en habitation par ses propriétaires. Cecilia et Mark travaillent ensemble, elle s’occupe de l’administration et de la gestion des projets, il est architecte, leur bureau se trouve à Neuchâtel. Le grand espace ouvert n’a pas été sacrifié ; quand on arrive à l’étage, la cuisine ouvre sur la salle à manger, une immense fenêtre de 6 mètres de long donne sur le jardin et la campagne. Au fond de la pièce se trouvent des petits espaces : coin salon, espace artistique où Mark expose ses peintures. La chambre parentale, suspendue et en porte à faux sur l’énorme poutre, semble flotter au-dessus de nos têtes. Le verre est teinté pour la privacité. La charpente blanchie est bien mise en valeur. En bas se trouvent une salle de bain et une seule longue chambre que se partagent leurs fils. La cave et le caveau sont immenses, plusieurs pièces utilisées pour des soirées ou des dégustations.

It’s an old barn, built in 1899 and skilfully rehabilitated into a residence by its owners. Cecilia and Mark work together, she is charge of administration and project managing, he is an architect, their office is in Neuchâtel. The vast open space was kept intact ; upstairs, the kitchen opens on the living room, a huge 6m long window offers plenty of light and views of the garden and countryside. In the back of the room are several smaller spaces, a sofa and TV, an artistic corner with Mark’s paintings and art books, simply divided by the original wooden beams. The master bedroom, all made out of glass and metallic beams is literally suspended above and cantilevered on the huge wooden ceiling beam. It appears to be floating above our heads. For privacy the glass is tinted. The framework has been valorised by bleaching it. Downstairs is one long bedroom, which their boys, Yannick and Milan, share. They also have their own bathroom and private entrance through the huge cellars. The cellars are used for wine tasting and private events.
