Christophe vit dans la vieille ville, dans une maison historique construite début 1600. Les escaliers en colimaçon sont magnifiques, un peu difficiles d’accès quand il faut déménager des tableaux pour une exposition. Christophe est peintre, il fait également des installations, des collages et de la vidéo. C’est un atelier d’artiste, propriété de la ville avec durée de résidence limitée. Ça a un charme fou. La charpente est splendide, le grand espace ouvert très original. On a un sentiment de privacité, de grand calme tout en entendant, la vie et les bruits qui proviennent de la rue. Il y vit partiellement, quand il n’est pas chez son amie, et s’est installé un coin cuisine, un petit salon. Tout est très organisé et rangé, il a besoin de cela pour créer.

Christophe lives in the old town, in a historical building built in the early 1600’s. The spiral staircase is stunning although a bit difficult to manage with large picture frames going to an art gallery for a show. Christophe is a painter, he also does art installations, videos and collage. The art studio belongs to the city of Bienne and has a limited time of residency. The place is utterly charming, the exposed beam ceiling and wide open space give a sense of great privacy and calm, while the sounds of everyday life can be heard from the street. Christophe lives there part time and, when he is not staying at his girl-friend, he can cook something simple on a hot plate set up in a corner. He also cosied up the place with a sofa and two armchairs. All around is well organized and put away ; he needs that to create and be efficient.
